XTB — Full Review 2026

XTB is a multi-market broker offering forex, CFDs, and investing products through a proprietary trading platform. The xStation interface includes charting, market analysis, and order management, and a demo account is available for traders who want to learn the platform before opening a live account. This XTB review focuses on platform access, trading costs, and the important differences between local entities.

XTB’s published Standard-account schedule says most instruments are commission-free, but that does not make every trade cost-free. CFD positions may incur overnight swap points, and the fee page describes a 0.5% margin on transaction currency conversions. A monthly inactivity charge of €10 or the account-currency equivalent can apply when no position has been opened or closed for 365 days and no deposit has been made in the last 90 days. These terms are from the cited XTB schedule; confirm the fee table for the entity and products available in your country.

XTB offers its own xStation platform through web and mobile apps. XTB’s help center says it does not currently offer MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5, so traders who depend on MetaTrader or its Expert Advisor ecosystem should account for that limitation. Platform tools, investment products, and account availability can differ by region.

XTB says clients are assigned to an entity based on their country of residence. Its current regulatory guide lists XTB Limited under the UK FCA for UK residents, XTB Limited under CySEC for EU residents, and XTB International Limited under the Belize IFSC for non-UK/EU residents, subject to local branches and eligibility. Check the client agreement to confirm the contracting entity, protections, and products before depositing.

  • ✗Overnight swaps and a 0.5% transaction-currency conversion margin may apply
  • ✗An inactivity fee can apply after the published no-trading and no-deposit periods
  • ✗Products, fees, leverage, and protections depend on the client’s entity and country

What You Need to Know

Fees & Trading Costs

XTB says most instruments on its Standard account are commission-free. Its current fee page also lists overnight swap points on some CFDs, a 0.5% margin on transaction currency conversions, and a €10 monthly inactivity charge (or currency equivalent) when both no-trade and no-deposit conditions are met. Fees can differ across entities and products, so use the local account schedule when estimating the all-in cost.

Trading Platforms

XTB’s proprietary xStation platform is available through a web version and mobile apps. It includes charts, order and portfolio management, market data, and analysis tools. XTB’s help center states that MT4 and MT5 are not currently offered; a demo account is available to test the platform.

Regulation & Eligibility

XTB’s regulatory guide says UK residents are served by XTB Limited, authorised by the FCA (FRN 522157); EU residents by XTB Limited, authorised by CySEC (CIF 169/12); and non-UK/EU residents by XTB International Limited, regulated by the Belize IFSC (licence 6442514). Country eligibility, branches, leverage, products, and protections depend on the account’s contracting entity. Confirm the local client agreement before opening an account.

XTB vs IG

XTB centers its offering on xStation and says it does not provide MT4 or MT5. IG offers its own web and mobile platforms plus MT4 and other integrations in supported markets, giving traders more platform choices. XTB’s Standard-account pricing is mostly commission-free for listed instruments but can include swaps, conversion, and inactivity charges; IG costs vary by product and entity. Compare local platform access and all-in trading costs rather than headline spreads alone.
